
ESPN FIGHT NIGHT AT THE HARDROCK RESULTS

LAS VEGAS -- Top Rank Promotions and ESPN together with their partners held an exciting fight card at this hotel just off the Strip early this afternoon (Thursday, Las Vegas time).
Headlining the event was an exciting 10 round card featuring local welterweight, Jessie Vargas ( 20-0-0, 10KO) versus Aaron Martinez ( 18-2-1, 4KO) of Los Angeles.
Cheered on by his hometown crowd, Vargas did not disappoint. He gave it all and took in some. But in the end, he came up victorious. The scores were 99-91,98-92, 96-94.
In the supporting main event Jose Felix Jr (21-0-1) of Los Mochis, Mexico survived a 3rd round flash knockdown from the hands of Luis Cruz (19-2-0-15) of Las Puedras, Puerto Rico and came up the winner via a UD. 96-94-,96-94 and 97-92.

Other results:
Terrence Crawford (18-0-0, 14KO) of Omaha, NE dropped Hardy Paredes (15-10-0,9KO) of Osomo, Chiles once in round 1 and twice in round 2 and ultimately stropping him at 40 seconds of round 4.
Heavyweight Andy Ruiz (16-0-0-10 KO) of Mexicali, MX hardly broke a sweat and knockout Maureno Smith (10-2-2, 7KO) of Houston, Texas at 2:11 of round 1.
Jesus Gutierrez (6-0-0-1,2KO) of Las Vegas dropped Joaquin Chavez (1-3-1, 1KO) of Commerce, CA late in round 6th and won via a UD. Scores were 58-55,58-55, 59-54.
Canadian Mikael Zewski (16-0-0, 12KO) dropped Xavier Toliver (23-8-0, 15KO) of Atlanta, Georgia in round 1. He survived the count but failed to answer the bell for round 2.
