Promoter Aljoe Jaro will join the corner of WBC light middleweight champion Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez for his upcoming fight against Josesito Lopez this September 15. Jaro informed philboxing that he has received a request from Eddy Reynoso, CEO of Canelo Promotions, to join the team as a cornerman during the last week of training in Mexico before they will leave for Las Vegas on September 2.

WBC Silver 105 lb division titlist Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello will also join them for the Vegas fight card. Jaro stated that they are still finalizing Cuello?s fight date but he is already in fighting shape.

Jaro, who also handles former WBC flyweight champ Sonny Boy Jaro, is very delighted that his expertise as a trainer is being tapped by the Alvarez camp.

?Denver and Saul are friends. They know that I personally supervise the training of Denver. They have seen his progress in terms of stamina, speed and power.? Jaro said. ?I consider it an honour, not just for myself but for us Filipinos that I was invited to join Alvarez? corner and share my knowledge in this high profile fight.?

Alvarez vs Lopez will be held at the MGM Grand. The 22 year old Alvarez, who hails from Jalisco, Mexico, will be defending his title for the fifth time.
