The fight is a re-match of the one that happened 10 years ago at the SilverDome in Pontiac, Michigan that was won by Cristy Martin (49-7-3, 31KO) via a 10 round unanimous decision.
?I know I had many too many fights and its time to call it a day. I expect to win this fight and then go retire? St. John told this writer a few weeks ago when he came to our offices to be fitted a custom made mouthguard.
With the win St John won the vacant WBC Female Light Middleweight title.
The fight was made under the contracted weight of 150 lbs.
After the fight, it was reported that both St John and Martin are retiring.
