GLENN DONAIRE BACK ON THE RING ON AUGUST 5

Reports coming out of Lake Tahoe, Nevada indicate that the "Filipino Bomber", Glen Donaire will highlight the undercard of a thrilling boxing event billed as "Double Trouble in Tahoe" on Saturday August 5, 2006. Donaire, the reigning NABO/NABA flyweight champion and others in the undercard, will fight yet un-named opponents. However, the Gary Shaw Promotions elected to release the information early as they are excited about the prospect of presenting Donaire and the others in their ShowTime-covered fight card.

The double main event will feature the WBO interim featherweight championship between Juan Manual Marquez and Terdsak Jandarng and IBF/IBO Bantamweight championship involving Rafael Marquez against Silence Mabusa.

Donaire, ( 16-2-1, 9 KO's) the GenSan native who is now based in Northern California returns to the ring fresh from his 12 round UD victory against Cesar Lopes (18-2- 4 KO's) where he won the NABO/NABA flyweight titles in May. Donaire will be featured in an eight round fight.

Completing the undercard will be bouts featuring Arturo Morales ( 17-0-1, 6 KO) of Mexico , an undefeated welterweight contender from Mexico, Alejandro Peres (5-0-1) of Salinas, California, an ex- WBC Continental Americas title holder, and Jose "Pepe" Beranza (28-8-2, 25 KO's) from Mexico City who will go head to head with NABO jr. featherweight champ, Jorge "baby Face" Lacierva.(28-6-6, 19 KO's) of Santa Anita, Mexico

"Double Trouble" will be held at the new Columbia Sussex Corporation owned MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa in picturesque Lake Tahoe. The 440 room hotel holds the distinction of having seven distinct restaurants and four chic nightlife venues and a 40,000 square feet casino and a new poker room.
