Hugo Correa.
Finally, after 10 days of trying to get a hold of Mexican Matchmaker Hugo Correa to see what really happened with the sending of Mexican "SUPER PATSY" Genaro Garcia, Hugo Correa finally had the guts to answer some questions. I asked him what the hell happened with the real Genaro Garcia? He admits he is in total shock and confusion on what transpired on the beautiful Island of Bohol. He is really bothered by this fiasco as he feels hurt that this happened. He blames the Manager of the "FAKE" Garcia, Jesus Bolanos.
Hugo (who still fights professionally with a record of 14-5-0, 9KO - Ed) had a horrible and disgusting fight in California on February 24 where he got KO'D in the 1st round after being 4 pounds overweight and destroyed by Artemio "EL KING" Reyes in a WBC Latino Welterweight fight and then traveled to Miami shortly after that.
He admits he was too busy and confused to find another trainer to accompany Genaro "Panterita" Garcia in the Philippines. If the original trainer of "Panterita" could not come for the trip due to illness, he should have sent well respected trainer Herminio Ramirez who has worked with him before and has been to Cebu on three occasions. He was given a "Super Patsy" by the name of Genaro "Panterita" Garcia instead of World class boxer Genaro "Poblanito" Garcia.
As a matchmaker of international fights, Hugo had enough time to have looked for "Poblanito" Garcia since they live nearby in Mexico City and verify this boxer is indeed "Poblanito" since this is a very important fight.
Hugo hopes that ALA Promotions will give him another chance to prove himself. I would say, let ALA Promotions allow Hugo Correa to personally accompany another Mexican fighter to Cebu, and while in the Philippines, file appropriate charges against him for lying and cheating the good people of ALA Boxing Promotions and the boxing fans.
