Tagbilaran City - Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista and Genaro Garcia of Mexico met in one of the more scenic venues for a boxing press conference ? the Bohol Tropics Resort Seglim VIP room. The captivating view of the seashore provided the backdrop for the gathering storm.

?I come here to win,? Garcia said, ?I am well prepared. I will feel him out in the early rounds. I have sparred with four boxers, trained for two and a half months. I sparred twelve rounds with each boxer. I have seen tapes of Bautista?s fights. This will be a good fight.? Garcia has fought eight world titlists but he said that Hector Velasquez was the best fighter that he faced. Velasquez? name, however, does not appear on Garcia?s boxrec record.

?I love to fight in Bohol.? Bautista said, ?Na-ay garbo sa Bohol na mu-fight mi diri. The children who are just starting to take up boxing will train harder and dream that someday they will be professional boxers like us.?

?I guarantee the fans will enjoy this fight.? Bautista concluded. ALA Promotions CEO Michael Aldeguer thanked the fans who made the PINOY PRIDE series consistently top the ratings here in the country. PINOY PRIDE XI had 12.9 % of the audience last month. The world title bout between Donnie Nietes and Ramon Garcia Hirales had a 14% rating. ?This will be a non-title bout but we are looking at Boom Boom?s opponent and not just the title. He will defend his IBF belt this May.? ,Aldeguer added.

ALA Gym trainer Edito Villamor talked about the work they did with Bautista, ?Boom Boom has a good jab, it is like a straight. But we trained him to also use it to set up his combinations. We are also working on improving his balance.?
