Cebu - Marvin Sonsona?s fight against against Carlos ?El Flaco? Fulgencio of the Dominican Republic will be held on March 17 at the Hoops Dome in Lapulapu City. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani informed philboxing that this fight card is bigger because of the addition of the WBO World Youth Flyweight title bout between Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar and Alejandro ?Terrible? Morales of Mexico.

The 22 year old Saludar (14W-0L-1D, 11 KO?s) will be tested when he faces his first Mexican opponent. This will be Saludar?s second fight in Cebu. Two years ago, he beat Ryan Illustrisimo by unanimous decision in Mabolo, Cebu City. He would go on a hot streak in Cavite, stopping eight opponents in a row and winning WBO regional and youth titles.

The 23 year old Morales (13W-1L,7 KO?s) will be fighting for the first time outside his country. He suffered his lone career loss last year by first round TKO to Julio Ceja but bounced back with a points win over Israel Rojas.

Sonsona made a successful return to the ring last October at the same venue by beating Mexican Carlos Jacobo by unanimous decision. He was initially scheduled to fight Fulgencio this February. The former WBO superflyweight champion will be having his second fight after an almost two year hiatus.

Gello-ani also informed that this card will be shown on AKTV and headline the grand opening of AKTV/SGG PKO show.

On March 4, SGG Promotions will have a double main event at the Cebu Coliseum ? the WBO Asia Pacific Interim Championship between Weng Haya vs Jose Ocampo of Manila and the mandatory defense of Philippine lightweight champion Jay Solmiano against Rey Labao (challenger). This fight card will start at 5.30 pm and will be covered by GMA 7.
