Promoter Aljoe Jaro is planning to stage a fight for Denver Cuello Singwangcha prior to the WBC world title elimination against Ganigan Lopez of Mexico. Jaro said that Cuello?s hometown fans in Iloilo City want to see him in action. The possible venues will be the Jaro Plaza Gym Iloilo, San Agustin Gym or CPU Gym Iloilo. Cuello will be facing a foreign boxer, possibly a Japanese or Indonesian on March 10.

Jaro is waiting for the reply of Lopez?s promoter, Boxeo de Gala, regarding his proposal to stage the fight here in the Philippines at the Ynares Center in Pasig or Antipolo on April 14. If no agreement is reached, this fight will be up for purse bidding.

Cuello has set his sights on the WBC world minimumweight title held by Kazuto Ioka but he will have to beat Lopez to get a crack at the title. Cuello won the WBC minimumweight Silver title by first round TKO against Carlos Perez in Mexico last year.

In a related development, another Aljoe Jaro boxer, Sonny Boy Jaro will get a shot at long reigning WBC Flyweight champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam of Thailand. The fight will take place this March 2 in Chonburi, Thailand.
