SULAIMAN?S LATEST MOVE DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR WHAT IS EXPECTED OF HIM AND WBC

Jose Sulaiman, the perennial WBC president, has probably realized that the repercussions of the statements he made that first appeared in an article by Ronnie Nathanielsz on the Manila Standard a few days back need to be addressed some more in an effort to make them disappear.
Therefore he keeps on popping up with ideas designed to make him look good.
But he keeps on coming up short of what is expected of him to make the issue disappear -- a substantial apology to women and the stripping of Mayweather of his title.
In spite of what he has been saying, more articles keep on coming from different sources. Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports came up with one yesterday calling for the resignation of Sulaiman as WBC president.
From across the ocean in UK, Jeff Powell of the Daily Mail asked for the stripping of the WBC title of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Today through his good friend Ronnie Nathanielsz who incidentally is our colleague from PhilBoxing.com, Sulaiman came up with another of those ideas in an effort to do damage control.
Sulaiman is now offering free mammograms for all women professional boxers across the world.
That indeed in very commendable!
But the move is a suspect and it does not negate the fact that he is insensitive to women?s rights!
In paper it looks good, but realistically due to logistics and many other factors, it may not work.
In addition, free mammograms can not make up for the statements attributed to him because he has not expressed publicly any tangible remorse for them much less apologized to the women in the word for the horrific statements he made.
In fact, the move appears that he is buying himself out of trouble.
Besides, how come it took him this long to offer the mammograms?
And to top it all, he has not made any move to strip Mayweather of his title!
The solution to the problem is simple Mr. Sulaiman.
Issue a world wide sincere apology to women and strip Mayweather of his title as soon as he goes to jail on January 6th.
Anything short of doing those two things will not work!
Now that?s not to hard understand, is it?
