Denver 'The Excitement' Cuello Singwangcha has issued a challenge to WBC minimumweight champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan to face him inside the ring. Promoter Aljoe Jaro wrote an e-mail to philboxing which contained a letter from Cuello stating that he would even fight Ioka for free; just pay for the air fare to Japan and for food and accommodation. Jaro and Cuello say that Ioka needs to prove himself in a fight against the Filipino top contender.

Cuello (29W-4L-6D, 19KO's) is the reigning WBC Silver minimumweight titlist. In the letter,he states that he has been the number one contender but Ioka (9W-0L, 6 KO?s) chose an easy opponent, citing Ioka's last Thai challenger who was stopped in one round. Cuello also stated that he is the real champion.

Here is the e-mail:

Dear Ioka Team,

Denver Cuello Singwangcha,
Ang tunay na champion
