NARVAEZ NOT WORTH THE HYPE

They painted him as a formidable foe for the great Nonito Donaire. A hurricane, they said. At the end he did not even win a round.

Omar Narvaez (35-1-2-19KO) turned out to be less than a tropical depression. He was more like an April shower that would barely grow flowers.

Now I know why they never got him a fight outside of Argentina, except for 3 fights in Europe. He was a fake!

I wonder what happened to the 35 wins in his record. Surely they can?t be all tuk-tuk drivers!

Nonito Donaire, (27-1-0, 18KO) hard as he tried never got a fight because Narvaez did not come to fight. He quit as soon as he felt the power in round 4.

It appears Narvaez just came for the payday and perhaps a tour of the Big Apple.

What cracks me up was that he had the audacity to get up on the ropes to raise his hands. Perhaps he was celebrating his survival from the devastating punches of Donaire.

It?s no small wonder the New York fans chanted ?This is bull shit.?

Now that the Narvaez non-fight is done, Nonito Donaire must move on. He should move up to 122 and then to 126 and do the big money fights and save enough for his future.

The Narvaez debacle must serve as a lesson. No more of those widely-hyped but unproven opponents. They are just a waste of Donaire?s talents.

We would love to see the Toshiaki Nishioka next at 122 lbs. That would be a real test for the Flash.

So how about it, Uncle Bob? Shall be say March or April 2012?

Let?s get it done!
