Buoyed by the victory of the Los Angeles Clippers over the Phoenix Suns during the 6th game of the play-off basketball series the other night wherein he, according to some "very good" sources, bet and won a fistful of dollars, Manny Pacquiao?'s opening statement during the press con held today at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, was: "Go Clippers". His statement drew a huge cheer from the press people from the Los Angeles area.

Manny Pacquiao refused to predict if he will KO Larios or in what round that would happen. However, he promised to be in tip top condition and put up a nice fight and a win for the Filipinos at home to enjoy. Asked how he knew he would win, his reply was "I am faster than him".

Pacquiao also indicated that Barrera is out of the picture this year as he intends to keep his promise of a re-match with Eric Morales sometime in October 2006. ""Maybe we will fight Barrera in 2007", Pacquiao stated.

For his part Larios indicated that he is not upset that Pacquiao is getting all the attention anywhere they go. "After the fight in July, I know the attention will be mine", Larios said.

About a hundred press people and Pacquiao groupies as well as Mexican followers of Larios showed up for the press con. Prominent Filipino boxing people like Sammy Gello-ani were present as well as Pacquiao's US sidekick, Joe Ramos, and of course, Dianne Castillejos of ABS-CBN's TV Patrol.
