Lapu-lapu City ? WBO Oriental super bantamweight champion Jessie ?The Terminator? Albaracin engaged challenger Marvin Tampus in a close quarter slugging match that was fun while it lasted; Fierce exchanges of heavy hooks to the body and head had the crowd cheering for more.
Two knockdowns were awarded to Albaracin in round three. Tampus came back for more but in the fourth, Alabaracin's volley blasted Tampus out of the ring. In the fifth round, powerful right hooks sent Tampus down twice and referee Danrex Tapdasan reached the count of ten at the 1:56 mark.
Johnriel Casimero won by technical knockout at the start of the second round against TI Yamagata Sentillas. Casimero landed a hard right at the end of the first. Sentillas went down hard and the medical personnel at ring side went inside the ring to assist him.
Sentillas' corner protested that their boxer was hit after the bell sounded. While the GAB supervisors sorted things out and viewed the replay from the TV camera, Sentillas told Dr. Jose Unabia that he did not want to continue fighting. The punch was also ruled as 'hitting Sentillas as the bell sounded'.
Jason Canoy kncoked out Erwin Pulvera in the first round with a series of hooks to the ribs. Official time ? 1:12.
Reymalon Labao won by TKO at the start of the 4th round against a hapless Dante Paulino.
Weng Haya beat Eman Labanza by unanimous decision after 8 rounds. The scorecards read 78-73, 77-74, 76-75.
Jerry Nardo won by majority decision against Ryan Illustrisimo. The scores ? 59-55, 59-55 and 57-57.
Jessie Cris Rosales won by 6th round TKO against a fading Edison Serrano. Three knockdowns were scored in the sixth courtesy of body blows prompting the stoppage.
The fights were held in the undercard of ?He's Back with a Vengeance? headlined by Marvin Sonsona's win against Carlos Jacobo at the Hoops Dome Saturday night.
