World Boxing Council no. 10 lightweight Randy "Komong Bato" Suico will attempt to win yet another OPBF title when he vies for the lightweight crown on June 3 against durable Thai Pongpetch Chuwatana at the Glorietta in Makati.

Suico, who remains a highly-exciting fighter despite two controversial losses in South Africa and the US, is currently undergoing intensive training in Japan to prepare for the heavy-handed Thai, who is given a more than fair chance of upsetting the dynamite-fisted Suico.

A protege of Japanese boxing guru Joe Koizumi, Suico is also a lock to see action on the July 2 Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Larios showdown, as he battles Mexican Silverio Ortiz in the undercard.

Thai matchmaker Narong Hengtrakul, who will accompany Chuwatana to Manila, has informed in a recent interview in Bangkok that the Thai fighter has a good chance against Suico, considering his power and tremendous shape.

Hengtrakul, however, admits that Suico's power is second to none, while his conditioning and heart are always unquestioned.

"Without a doubt, this will be an explosive fight. The Thai boy and Suico both have power. This will be an interesting match-up," said Hengtrakul.

Also seeing action on the June 3 card is one-time WBA title challenger Eriberto 'Yukka' Gejon, while Wyndel Janiola goes up in a grudge rematch with Julius Alcos.
