
PP9 public sparring at SM City-Bacolod today

BACOLOD CITY ? Filipino fighters for the upcoming Pinoy Pride 9 lead by Negrense world champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes will be having a public sparring today, September 24 at the SM City-Bacolod.
This event is part of the promotion for the forthcoming fight whereas boxing fans will get the opportunity to take a look at the fighters? skills and some gameplan to put down their opponents.
Also, a preview will be shown featuring the Murcia-native Nietes.
As former world champion, Nietes earn the right to challeng the current Mexican WBO World lightflyweight champion Ramon ?Principe? Garcia.
The Negrense, Nietes, made his debut in 2003 as a professional boxer and since then, he has held an impressive 28-1-3 (W-L-D) record. He successfully defended his title thrice at the enemies? territory.
According to Sugar and Atlas in their book, the Ultimate Book of Boxing Lists, Nietes is recognized as one of the top 5 all-time minimumweight champions in the history of boxing,
On the other hand, Garcia also boasts a great record of 16-2-1 (W-L-D ) with 9 coming off the knockouts.
In his 19 fights, he he also successfully defended his WBC International title trice and once in the WBO World lightflyweight.
Meanwhile, also fightign in the undercard is the current WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight titlist AJ ?Bazooka? Banal. He is set to defend his belt against the undefeated and the former WBC FECOMBOX super bantamweight champion Mario ?Maca? Briones of Mexico.
Likewise, featured in the undercard are Top Prime Stable?s Arthur ?El Matador? Villanueva of Bago City and Merlito ?Tiger? Sabillo of Toboso town. Top Prime Stable is managed by Rev. Henry Guanzon.
Villanueva will be facing Tanzanian Shaaban Madilu while Sabillo takes Rodel Tejares for the OPBF minimumweight championship.
