RESULTS FROM ?WAR AT WOODLAND HILLS NO. 5 (WITH PHOTOS)

Woodland Hills, CA;- Bash Boxing and The Art of Boxing Promotions held their 5th fight card Friday night at the swank Marriott Hotel at the heart of San Fernando Valley a few miles west of downtown LA.

Headlining the 7 fight promotional card was a welterweight fight between Rey Beltran (25-5-0, 17KO) of Phoenix. Arizona and Darien Ford (11-21-0, 4KO a US National Guard soldier based in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Beltran as expected won over Ford. In the second round, he dropped Ford with a tremendous left hand shot like a sack of potato. As he fell backwards, Ford hit the back of his head on the canvas with a loud thud. He laid in the canvas fully stretched and not moving at all.

The knock-out was so compelling that it caused some concerns amongst the medical personnel from the CSAC, the promoters and the audience. It took sometime before Ford was revived and allowed to seat on his stool. Eventually he recovered enough to stand up but was still watched closely by his crew as he was unsteady on his feet.



In the supporting main event, Ukraine?s Anatoliy Dudchenko ( 13-2-0,9KO) a fixture in this promotions won via a first round knockout versus William Bailey (4-12-0, 4KO) of Chesapeake, Virginia. Time was 2:59.

Other Fight results:

Javier Garcia (5-2-1, 5KO) of Oxnard knocked out Cesar Garcia (2-6-1, 1KO) of Mexico via a perfect liver shot. The end came at 2:25 in round 1.


Gallo vs Rorie.

Javier Gallo( 18-4-1,10KO) of Tijuana, Mexico won via TKO over Jason Rorie (6-13-2,3KO) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The referee waved off the fight at 2:43 in round 3.

Erick Ruiz (2-0-0,1KO) of Oxnard won via a unanimous decision over Troy Wolosky (0-2-0) of Medford, Oregon. The scores were all the same from the three judges, 39-37.
Wolosky is Filipino born but raised in Oregon.


Roman vs Ezell.

In a fight between two women gladiator, Celine Roman of Los Angeles who was making her pro debut won by majority decision over Yolanda Ezell, 1-1-0, 1KO) The scores were
38-38, 39-37 and 39-37.

In the curtain raiser, Herbert Acevedo of Kansas won via 2nd round KO over Kelly Wright (4-10-0) of St. Louis, Missouri. Time 15 seconds .
