
PINOY PRIDE VIII PUBLIC PREVIEW AT THE PACIFIC MALL

Mandaue City ? The two round infighting battle between Milan 'Metodico' Melindo and Phil. lt.flyweight champ Jerson Mancio capped the public sparring session at the Pacific Mall which was held to promote the much anticipated eighth edition of Pinoy Pride: Philippines vs Mexico.
Melindo will face Mexico's Francisco Rosas for the WBO Intercontinental flyweight crown this September 10 in the card's main event. The mall crowd also got to see WBO Youth Asia-Pacific lt. welterweight champ Jason 'El Nino' Pagara spar with newly crowned Phil ippine superfeatherweight champ James Bacon. Pagara will fight Rosbel Montoya of Mexico in the supporting main event.
Superbantamweight prospect Genesis Servania sparred with former Philippine flyweight champ Arthur 'El Matador' Villanueva. Servania will face another Mexican, Mario Macias in the undercard.
Villanueva is penned to see action in Pinoy Pride IX in Bacolod City this October.
Up and coming ALA boxers were also featured in the public preview: Roma Rate vs Melvin Gumban, Mark Bernaldez vs Ralph Lulu and Mark Acub vs Arjan Canillas. John Magat of Y101 served as the master of cereminies and free tickets were given to lucky fans.
Pinoy Pride 8 will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel. Fight fans will be treated to more mall public workouts in the weekends before September 10.
