Unbeaten prospect Marco Singwangcha of the RWS Gym of Cebu could be just a couple of wins away from getting a big break in Las Vegas. Marco will fight rugged veteran Nelson Llanos of Butuan City this August 7 in Sibonga,Cebu for the PBF bantamweight title.
Rex ?Wakee? Salud International Promotions has announced that if Marco wins, he will be fighting for the Philippine bantamweight title (GAB version) in Iligan City this coming September 16, 2011. This will be a homecoming fight for the slugger from Iligan formerly known as Marco Demecillo (12W (9 Ko?s) - 0 L- 1 D). Demecillo fights under the surname Singwangcha as homage to his sponsor, Thailand's top boxing promoter Naris Singwancha.
If Marco captures the title, Wakee Salud will introduce him to Manny Pacquiao?s MP Promotions for a fight in the US. He could be fight on the eve of Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez or even fight in the undercard of the much anticipated trilogy. Demecillo?s stablemate Marlon Tapales fought and won in Las Vegas one day before Pacquiao beat Shane Mosley.
Demecillo Singwangcha went the full route against Rex Olisa of the Aljoe Jaro stable last June in Tuburan,Cebu after knocking out his last four opponents. Llanos (22W (5 Ko?s) ? 25 L-3D) has been at the losing end to world ranked fighters like Denver Cuello, Edrin Dapudong and Roli Gasca. His last big win was against fellow veteran Juanito Rubillar last December by unanimous decision.
Also penned to see action in Sibonga will be between Noel ?Dinamita? Adelmita (15W (4 Ko?s) -2L) of Bohol and the RWS Gym and T.I. Yamagata Sentillas (10W (7 Ko?s) ? 7 L). Adelmita beat Rex Tito Singwangcha of the Aljoe Jaro Stable by unanimous decision also in Tuburan last June. Sentillas fought in Zamboanga last September and stopped Allan Doronilla in 4 rounds.
Rounding up the undercards are Sandoval Singwangcha vs Marlo Talili, Lobert Bayo vs Erwin Pulvera, Jayson Singwangcha vs Junel Busano, and Sehayahei Llanera Singwangcha vs Honey Boy Vidad of Siquijor.
In his pro debut last June, Llanera needed only 118 seconds to win by TKO against Rajah Jim Tanawon of Princess Bulakna Resort, Siquijor. Vidad reached the semis of the ?Buhay Boksingero? boxing tournament last June but lost a split decision to Jessie Cris Rosales.
This fight card at the Sibonga Centrum is promoted by Naris Singwangcha of Thailand and Rex ?Wakee? Salud International Promotions with the cooperation of the local government of Sibonga lead by Mayor Lionel Bacaltos and Vice Mayor Rey Apuda.
