SALUDAR VS. PUMAR HEADLINE THE NEXT PROSPECTS XI

The twelve round battle for the WBO Asia-Pacific flyweight title between Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar and Gabriel ?BoomBoom Toei? Pumar will be held at the Island Cove Resort Hotel & Leisure Park in Cavite this August 6.

The unbeaten Saludar (12 W( 9 Ko?s) -0 L-1 D)has previously won the WBO World Youth and Asia-Pacific flyweight Youth belts and stopped his last six opponents. The Japan based Pumar (14 W ( 9 Ko?s )- 5L - 1D) is a former WBC International 105 lb division champion.

For the supporting main event, WBO Oriental lighweight champion Jose Ocampo will face former WBO Asia-Pacific jr.lightweight champ Rey ?Malone? Labao . Last April, Ocampo (14W ( 9 Ko?s ) - 4 L) scored a big upset in Thailand by stopping world ranked Thai Tor Silachai in six rounds. Labao (19 W (13 Ko?s )-3 L ) lost to Will Tomlinson in Australia by unanimous decision last November in his attempt to reclaim his WBO As-Pac crown.


Jerwin Ancajas (10W-0-1D, 4 KO's), the reigning WBO As-Pac superflyweight champ, will fight tough veteran Jason Egera (15W ( 7 Ko?s)-6 L), a former WBO Asia-Pacific and PBF champion.

The 11th edition of 'The Next prospects' is offered free to the public by SGG Promotions.

Also set to appear are:

CARLOS SUELLO (Top Contender Gym, Palawan) vs. CHRISTIAN AVILA (Libon, Albay) 123 lbs - 8 RNDS

WENG HAYA VS. RICHARD NAANO (133 lbs. - 8 rds)


ROBERTO UDTOHAN (Digos, Davao del Norte) vs. EDISON BERUELA (Quezon City) 116 lbs. - 8 rds.

EDWARD PENERIO (Yraola Boxing Gym ) vs. MATING KILAKIL (Baguio City) 109 lbs. - 6 rds
