VANES MARTIROSYAN WINS VIA 7TH ROUND TKO OVER SAUL ROMAN

LOS ANGELES -- Glendale?s Vanes Martirosyan (R), the Armenian fighter who trains at the Wildcard Gym with Cesar Chavez Jr survived a flash knockdown in the first round against Saul Roman of Culiacan, Mexico (34-9-0-29KO) and came back to knock down Roman twice in round 7 until the referee finally stopped the fight at 2:58 of the round at the Staples Center Saturday night. Martirosyan has now upped his undefeated record to 30 wins with 19 knockouts.
