ZBIK-CHAVEZ, JR. FINAL PRESS CON REPORT AND PHOTOS

Downtown LA:- Top Rank Promotions with the support of Universum Media Network, Tecate Beer, Staples Center and Mexico?s Zanfer Promotions today hosted the final News Conference for the World Middleweight Title Fight between Germany?s Sebastian Zbik and Mexico?s Son of the Living Legend, Cesar Chavez Jr.

The title fight is booked at the famed home of the LA Lakers, the Staples Center on Saturday, June 4, 2011. It will be shown live on HBO Boxing After Dark at 10:00 PM ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast USA).

The news conference also featured No 1 undefeated lightweight Mikey Garcia of Oxnard, CA His opponent from Los Mochis, Mexico, Miguel Beltran Jr. did not show up due to an injury that occurred last week. A substitute from Mexico, Rafael Guzman will instead fight Garcia. The fight between these two will open the HBO telecast.

Also present were ex-US Olympian. Vanes Martirosyan of Glendale, CA who will battle Mexico?s Saul Roman in a 12-round WBC super middleweight title elimination bout.

WBC female super welterweight champion, Christy Martin of Orlando, FL who is making a comeback from an extended lay-off was there as well with her opponent, Dakota Stone of Auburn, WA. Martin was joined by her friend, famed LA lady lawyer, Gloria Allred.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr who will be inducted on the International Boxing Hall of Fame next week was present in an obvious show of support of his son, as well as trainers Freddie Roach (Chavez Jr) and Arthur Grigorian (Zbik).
