Boxing fans in Maigo, Lanao del Norte will get a rare treat this May 14 on the eve of their fiesta celebrations when they get to witness the rematch between Legada ?The Hitman? Singwangcha of Manila and Jetly ?Hurricane? Purisima of Gensan for the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight title. Legada and Purisima fought a keenly contested battle last March in the undercard of the Denver Cuello-Samat Chaiyong bout in Angono, Rizal.

Legada got the title by majority decision in that exciting televised contest and Promoter Aljoe Jaro thought they deserved an encore.

For the card?s other title fight, Gabejan Singwangcha of Manila will trade punches with unbeaten prospect Ernie Sanchez of Gensan for the PBF featherweight title. Sanchez (8W-0L, 2 KO?s) also fought in Angono last March, beating Jog Alim by 8th round TKO.

For the main supporting bouts, Tampus Singwangcha of Manila will face rugged veteran Nelson Llanos of Butuan City (10 rounds bantamweights) and Jomar Fajardo Singwangcha will fight Jong Ponteras (10 rounds lt.flyweights).

There will be four preliminary contests:

Fight fans will also get to see amateur bouts. Promoter Aljoe Jaro said that Mayor Rafael ?Paeng? Rizalda of Maigo is a long-time boxing fan and has been regularly staging amateur bouts to look for promising young fighters. This boxing event is promoted by Jaro Singwangcha Promotions International in cooperation with Mayor Rizalda and the Municipal Council of Maigo.
