Fifteen months after enduring the bitter taste of his first career loss, Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales will see action in San Francisco, Southern Leyte in the undercard of the Jether Oliva vs Fernando Ocon WBO Oriental minimumweight title fight.
Morales (14W-1L, 8 KO?s) was knocked out in the first round by a vicious body shot from Fernando Montiel in a WBO bantamweight title fight in Las Vegas last February 13, 2010. Morales disappeared from the public eye and fans wondered if he would ever fight again.
He will face Eman Labanza (7W-6L) of Cebu in a ten rounder, this time returning to the more comfortable superbantamweight division. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani said that Morales has been frequenting the gym for a month now and has been sparring regularly.
This fight card is scheduled for May 15 at the San Francisco Multipurpose Gym and promoted by Sammy Gello-ani?s SGG Promotions with the cooperation of Municipal Mayor Samson Gamutan.
Other boxers scheduled are Federico ?Magnifico? Catubay vs Aljune Salogoal 10 rounds, Virgilio Silvano vs Lowell Saguisa 6 rounds, Aruel Romasasa vs Jerome Bontog 6 rounds, Jermie Salogaol vs Casino Dagatan 4 rounds, and Jerome Casas vs Sherwin Boquesa 4 rounds
