Bacolod City ? In the first bout of the afternoon, Reymund Tabogon floored Tongkie Balalitan twice in the 3rd round to win by TKO.
Roma Rate used a single left hook to stun Crispin Salvador, who turned his back and was on unsteady legs prompting the referee to halt the bout in the opening round. Salvador was assisted by medical personnel before he got off the ring.
Boyce Sultan also used a single left hook to the jaw of Jeno Raymonda, who staggered and was trapped in his own corner, prompting the referee to halt the fight also in the first round.
For the first time in his pro career, Albert Pagara fought someone who actually fired back. The southpaw Robert Awetin caught him with a few flush left hand shots in the first two rounds. Pagara had him reeling with a series of hooks to the body in the third but he survived the round.
Awetin was on the defensive in the last two rounds but managed to last the fight. The scorecards after six rounds ? 60-54, 59-55 and 59-55 for Pagara.
PINOY PRIDE 6 will be in Cebu this June 11 headlined by Rey Bautista?s rematch with Heriberto Ruiz. Bautista is here in Bacolod and witnessed the fights.
