
WEIGHTS FROM BACOLOD CITY'S PINOY PRIDE 5

Bacolod City - Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes is all set for his entry into the light flyweight division as he weighed 109 lbs while Armando Vasquez of Mexico stepped in at 107.5 lbs during the official weigh-in held Friday noon at SM Bacolod.
Nietes, who has defended his WBO minimumweight world title four times, hails from Bacolod City. He has fought as a professional in Cebu's ALA Gym since 2003 and is looking forward to a successful homecoming fight.
Jason Pagara of the ALA Gym tipped the scales at 140 lbs while a surprisingly underweight Deo Njiku of Tanzania weighed 136 lbs. They will fight for the WBO Asia-Pacific Youth jr.welterweight title.

WBO featherwieght titlist Lorenzo Villanueva and Indonesian challenger James Mokoginta both weighed in at the division limit 126 lbs.They will fight for twelve rounds for Villanueva's title.
Roli Gasca of the ALA Gym and Ngaotawan Sithsaithong of Thailand weighed 119 lbs for their eight round tussle.
Arthur Villanueva of Bacolod City weighed 116 lbs while Mark Anthony Geraldo of Bukidnon weighed 119.5 lbs. Geraldo was given an hour to shed his excess weight.
For the other preliminary contests :Albert Pagara of the ALA Gym (115 lbs) vs Robert Awetin (114.5 lbs) 6 rounds, Boyce Sultan (121 lbs) vs Jeno Raymonda (121.5 lbs) 4 rounds, Roma Rate (110.5 lbs) vs Crispin Salvador (110.5 lbs), and Reymund Tagbogon (112.5 lbs) vs Tongkie Balalitan (112.5 lbs) 4 rounds.
Fans got win free tickets during the Q and A portion done during the weigh-in from master of ceremonies Ronnie Nathanielz. Fight time on Saturday is at 3 PM at the LaSalle Gym. The weigh-in was supervised by the Games and Amusements Board. Philippine TV coverage will be on Sunday on ABS-CBN Ch 2.
