Cebu City ? Boxing fans in Pasil, San Nicolas witnessed thirteen pairs of entertaining amateur bouts as part of the Cebu City Sports Commission?s PABOKSING SA BARANGAY. These bouts also served as curtain raisers for the DUGONG KAMPYON fight card bannered by Dodie Boy Pe?alosa, Jr.

Jaime Tan-awon of the Flores Boxing stable won by second round RSC when his opponent, John Aguila of the Phil-Aust gym, walked into a powerful left and was knocked out cold for a few minutes. Medical personnel at ringside assisted Aguila before he recovered and walked out of the ring on his own. Their fight was the final amateur contest for the evening in the 60 kg. category.

Ryan Cagatula of the Phil-Aust gym won on points over James Castil of Team Cebu City (58 kgs), Jared Jalil Payao of the Omega stable beat Zoro Babel Alsola of Team Cebu City on points (56 kgs).

Dave Andre Pe?alosa of Team Cebu City won by retirement after the first round over Crucino Dagatan of the Phil-Aust gym (54 kgs). Dagatan was at the receiving end of a hard body and head shots in the opening stanza and his corner chose not to make him answer the bell for the second round.

Reymund Empic of the team Cebu City won on points over Jordan Catubay of the Omega stable (54 kgs), Allan Refuela of team Cebu City beat Steven Noblefranca of Talisay Stable on points (51 kgs), Juvanie Ruelan of Team Cebu City won on points over Rommel Rabaya of the Sta. Cruz stable, Joey Canoy of Team Cebu City won on points over Mark Kevin Soreno of the Flores stable (47 kgs), Raymond Namucatcat of Team Cebu City beat Ernie Jay Alesna of Pasil stable by RSC 2nd round (47 kgs).

Rodex Piala of Team Cebu City beat Benjie Manatad of the Sanai stable on points (44 kgs), Junriel Jimenez of Team Cebu City won on points over Margarito Moya of the Sanai stable (42 kgs), KH Garces of the Sta.Cruz stable beat Rhezon Tarona of the Phil-Aust stable on points (35 kgs) and Excel Mugar of the Phil-Aust stable won on points over Jeffrey Jimenez of Team Cebu City (22 kgs).
