TEAM CUELLO AWAITS IOKA VS HERNANDEZ WINNER

With another stoppage win under his belt, Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello will now have to sit and wait for the outcome of the fight between defending WBC minimumweight or strawweight champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan and Juan Hernandez of Mexico.
Last year, in an unfortunate turn of events in Mexico, Cuello was disqualified when he had Hernandez already down in the third round. Promoter Aljoe Jaro feels they will get their shot the middle of this year. As of this writing there is no date set for the Ioka vs Hernandez title bout but Grupo Publica has won the rights to promote the fight.
Cuello (26W-4L-3-6D, 16 KO?s) last Saturday won by 9th round TKO against a game Samat Chaiyong of Thailand in Angono, Rizal. The southpaw from Iloilo fights as Cuello Singwangcha to honour his sponsor, Thai Promoter Naris Singwangcha who co-promotes his fights here in the Philippines.
