Former WBC lt.flyweight champion Rodel Mayol plans to train in Baguio and Cebu for his upcoming bout in Thailand against Wisanu Kokietgym. Mayol informed this writer that he plans to leave Los Angeles on Wednesday and join Manny Pacquiao?s training camp in Baguio City.

He plans to move his training camp to Cebu City in April. Mayol said he will request Promoter Rex ?Wakee? Salud for permission to train in his gym. Mayol also trained in Baguio and Wakee Salud?s gym in Cebu for his November 2010 fight against Pompetch Twins Gym, which he won by 7th round TKO in Pasig City. This was Mayol?s first win since losing his world title on points to Mexico?s Omar Nino Romero.

The 29 year old Mayol (27W-5L-2D, 21 KO?s) said that he will fight Kokietgym for the WBA interim lt.flyweight title this June 3.

Kokietgym (37W-7L-2D, 12 KO?s) has won twenty straight fights since 2006 and beat a Filipino, Rodel Tejares by decision in his last outing.
