Fightfan.com, one of Canada?s biggest combat sports website is leaving no stones unturned to assure a wide and complete news coverage of Calgary, Alberta?s Steve Claggett?s first fight outside of continental North America,

They will be sending no less than their Editorial Director, Ace Freeman with Team Claggett down to Cebu.

Claggett will be locking horns with Davao?s Romeo Jakosalem in one of the fights on ALA Promotions? Pinoy Pride 4 on March 19th at the Waterfront Hotel at Cebu City.

Claggett who sports a record of 11-0-1 (6KO) is the WBC Youth Intercontinental Light Welterweight Champion. He won the title via a 3rd round TKO of Mexico?s Jose Mendoza last January 14, 2011.

Jakosalem (11-4-1, 5KO) on the other hand won his last fight on August 8th, 2010 with a 4th round TKO of Tosho Makoto Aoki in Osaka, Japan following a disappointing 2nd round TKO loss to Jason Pagara in May 2010.

A win for the Davao ace will elevate him among the ?elite? Pinoy fighters and may lead to bigger money fights in the US. Conversely, a victory by the 21 year old Canadian will
give him more fuel in his quest for bigger money fights in the US and Canada.

After the fight, Team Claggett, who is headed by Pinoy-Canadian Eric de Guzman will fly home via Seoul, Korea for a short tour of the City.

De Guzman has never been in the Philippines and is looking forward to visit the place and see for himself the origin of his Filipino roots.
