Dalaguete, Cebu ? It was a long but entertaining Sunday night in the southern town of Dalaguete in Cebu.

The crowd at the Dalaguete Sports Complex only had a brief glimpse of the boxing prowess of Marlon Tapales Singwangcha as he stopped Charlie Cabilla in the first round with the quick right uppercut.

Official time: 2:46.

PBF featherweight champ T.I. Yamagata Aguelo and PBF lightweight champ E. Gabejan Singwangcha engaged in ten rounds of brutal phone booth warfare. Gabejan was bleeding from the nose in the second round as they proceeded to trade hard hooks. Aguelo had Gabejan hurt in the 3rd and 4th cantos.

With their resolve and stamina tested to their limits, they continued to trade punch for punch. In the 8th, Aguelo was slowed down by a low blow. Gabejan-Singwangcha was deducted a point and Aguelo still finished the round strong. Aguelo took the ninth but suffered a cut on his left eyebrow. In the tenth Aguelo landed the cleaner blows to take the fight.

All three judges scored it for Aguelo ? 96-93, 97-92 and 97-92.

Marco Singwangcha exploded with combos from the opening bell and dropped Ricardo Roa with a left hook to the liver. The referee reached the count of ten in 51 seconds of the very first round.

Marco holds the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) superflyweight belt.

Part of the evening's entertainment was a dog named George who can read signs and do math. Too bad it wasn't taped; it would've made a great youtube video.
