Mandaue City ? Cebu fight fans at the Parkmall had a treat despite the continuing rains when Alejandro ?Zorrito? Barrera of Mexico and Soffyan Effendi and Billy Sumba of Indonesia shadow boxed and hit the punch mitts as part of thepromotion for PINOY PRIDE 3.
Barrera looked lean and sharp and once again vowed to knock out Rey ?BoomBoom? Bautista when he spoke to the crowd through translator Michael Lopez.
?I trained hard, I feel good and ready to go.? Barrera said. He then posed for pictures with the fans and had another interview with the local television crew.
Effendi and Sumba also looked fit and ready to battle with Edrin ?The Sting? Dapudong and Jason Pagara respectively.
The event was opened by three round sparring sessions involving amateur and professional ALA boxers: Elmo Traga vs Warren Mayorita, John Ivor vs Ryan Canillas, Arjan Canillas vs Marjohn Yap and Mark Bernaldez vs Genesis Servania.
The final presscon for Pinoy Pride 3: THE REMATCH will be on Thursday 11 AM at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel. Fight day will be at the same venue on Saturday.
