?Bakbakan sa Allen? Tonight

Boxing fans in the town of Alen in Northern Samar will be treated to an exciting night of professional boxing Tuesday night. The fight card billed as ?Yanigan sa Kamao, Matira ang Matibay? will be headlined by Rey Loreto of the Davao City and the Highland Boxing Stable versus Benecer Alolod of the Brumsmick Stable of Laguna in an eight round lt.flyweight contest and a ten rounder between Dondon Jimenea of Gensan and the LM Stable and Baguio City?s Ryan Malitig of the Obidos Stable.

There will be four supporting bouts: Wilber Andogan of the Highland Stable of La Trinidad, Benguet versus Roy Labaera of the Brumsmick stable of Laguna ( 8 rounds mini-flyweights), John Ray Pasaylo of Maasim, Sarangani and the Highland boxing stable versus John Naimes of the Agayas stable of La Trinidad , Benguet ( 8 roounds featherweights), Xerex Golum of Tagum City vs. Charloue Paler of Laguna (4 rounds mini-flyweights), Stephen Gelawa of the Highland stable of Baguio vs. Gabriel Ruyo of Monis stable of Valenzuela (4 rounds lightweights).

The Monday weigh-in was supervised by Rolando Mendoza of the Games and Amusements Board. This boxing event is offered to the people of Alen as part of their Christmas celebrations by Mayor Rod Talaboy Suan, Promoters Jun Ablig, Avelino Ca?ete, Wilson Dulcero and Jonel Villacortes.

Fight time is at 7 PM at the Allen Coliseum.

Quick facts about Allen:

Allen is a port town in the island of Samar.It?s original name of the town was Manipa-a. During the Spanish era, the name of the town was changed to La Granja. The name Allen was given by the Americans in honor of General Robert Allen, the military governor of the Visayas after the Spanish-American War.
