Siaton,Negros Oriental - Hometown boy Jason Egera successfully defended his Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) superbantamweight title with a fourth round technical knockout win over Jestoni Pepito of Cebu. Armed with a new mohawk hairdo and hundreds of hysterical fans, Egera employed a stick and move routine early on as the two southpaws tried to find their range.

Egera stepped on the gas in the third and staggered Pepito. In the fourth, a vicious combo dropped Pepito who immediately got up and tried to fight back. A wicked left uppercut sent Pepito to the canvas again as his corner threw in the towel. Official time of the TKO ? 1:29.This fight was the main event in a fight card billed ?BAKBAKAN SA SIATON? held Tuesday night at the Mayor Apolinario Quisay Gymnasium.

Undefeated PBF superflyweight champ Marco Demecillo Singwangcha of Cebu needed only 1 minute and 58 seconds of the opening round to dispose of Rogen Flores of Zamboanga City in a non-title bout.

Singwangcha blitzed Flores as the opening bell sounded and scored three knockdowns, the last one courtesy of a hard body shot.

Marlou Sandoval of Siaton won by unanimous decision over Joseph Dimos of Dumaguete City. Dimos was knocked down in round 2 and was also deducted a point in the same round as his headbutt inflicted a cut on Sandoval's right eyelid. The three judges scorecards all read 40-34.

Romeo Opanel of Siaton survived a flash knockdown in round two to beat Jun Ryan Quimbo of Cebu City by unanimous decision. The scorecards read 38-37 for all three judges.

Bobby Sentillas Singwangcha of Mandaue City was knocked down twice by Charlie Sabejon of Siaton in the first round but miraculously landed a powerful body shot in the second round sending Sabejon writhing in pain on the canvas. The referee counted out Sabejon at the 2:59 mark of the 2nd.

There was a brief commotion at ringside as Sabejon's corner and the partisan fans insisted that he was hit with a low blow.

Romnick Magos of Gen. Santos City won by unanimous decision over Renjie Sabanal of Siaton in a rough and tumble contest.

The scores were 40-36 for all three judges.

Lyndel Radoc of Siaton beat Jerome Casas Singwangcha of Cebu by unanimous decision. Radoc, a southpaw, was cut on the bridge of his nose in the third round but repeatedly scored with his left straight. The scorecards read 40-36, 39-37 and 39-37.
