
Melindo and Tamara make weight

CEBU CITY - Milan ?Metodico? Melindo of the ALA Gym of Cebu weighed in at 112 lbs while former IBF lt.flyweight champion Carlos ?El Olimpico? Tamara of Colombia weighed 112 ? lbs during the official weigh-in held noontime at the SM Cebu City Entertainment Center.
Melindo (21W-0L, 6 KO's) and Tamara (21W-5L, 15 KO's) had the customary face off for the photographers before proceeding to hydrate and feed themselves to replenish their bodies for tomorrows highly anticipated showdown billed as PINOY PRIDE II ?BEST OF THE BEST?.
OPBF flyweight champion Rocky Fuentes of Mambaling, Cebu City weighed 111 ? lbs while challenger Inthanon Sithchamuang of Thailand weighed in at 111 ? lbs.
Former IBF world miniflyweight champ Florante Condes tipped the scales at 108 lbs while Kenichi Horikawa of Japan weighed a quarter of a pound more.
Former three time OPBF champ Randy Suico weighed 146 1/2/lbs while Philippine welterweight titlist Arnel Tinampay weighed 145 ? lbs. Tinampay?s other claim to fame is that he was the sparring partner of Manny Pacquiao in 2007 when the Pacman was preparing for Jorge Solis and the rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera.
Dodie Boy Penalosa,Jr, the son of former two division world champion Diosdado ?Dodie Boy? Penalosa, will have his second professional fight against Jomar Torreon. Penalosa weighed 121 ? lbs while Torreon weighed 123 ? lbs. Rey Melligen (134 ? lbs) vs Junel Gadapan (135 ? lbs) and Melvin Gumban (110 ? lbs) vs JR Salvador (110 lbs) round up the undercards.
