Cesar Chavez Jr., the son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Mexico is presently training at the Wildcard Gym under the guidance of Freddie Roach. Chavez fights on December 4th at the Honda Center in Anaheim against Alfonso Gomez.
Chavez trains right after Manny Pacquiao finishes his training regimen. But every once in a while, he would come early enough to catch a few pointers by simple watching Pacquiao and Roach go through their game plans against Antonio Margarito.
Last Wednesday was no different. Chavez sat on the ring apron with the other boxers and soaked in everything.
With such a change in attitude, from the rumored ?prima donna? down to just being one of the boys, Chavez has gained praises from the gym rats that inhabits the Wildcard Gym.
?There is virtue in humility,? one pundit said. ?With Chavez doing what he is doing right now, it appears that he has finally grown up from the spoiled brat they used to brand him to a serious boxer willing to learn and pay the dues to become a great champion.?
