Pontillas wins Phil. Superfeatherweight title

Ronald Pontillas of Metro Manila won the vacant Philippine superfeatherweight title by split decision in his fight against James Bacon of the ALA Gym of Cebu in the main event of the ALA-Summit Fight Night Boxing Tour at the Robinson?s Place Parking Lot in Iloilo City last Saturday.
Bacon (13 W (KO 9) and 2 D) suffered his second career loss with Pontillas improving to 11 wins (KO 5) -3L - 3 D.
Other results: Jomar Cordinillo beat Tongke Balilitan by 2nd round knockout, Jefferson Reodeque won by unanimous decision against JV Villan, Jesson Enzo beat Don Carcasona by TKO in the 2nd round, Albert Villacampa won by majority decision against Kotsky Ebalang, Marjhun Makahilig beat Rocky Sardido by unanimous decision.
