
Banal, ALA stablemates stage open workout at SM Cebu (with photos)

World ranked bantamweight AJ ?Bazooka? Banal had an open work out for the fans together with his ALA stablemates Mark Melligen, Jason Pagara and Larry ?Bon Jovi? Canillas at SM Cebu City Saturday afternoon to promote the upcoming PINOY PRIDE fight card this October 30 at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug,Cebu City.
Banal's opponent, Luis ?El Demoledor? Perez of Nicaragua is expected to arrive in Cebu this Sunday. The four ALA boxers looked sharp and ready to rumble as they began to jump rope, shadow box and hit the punch mitts in front of an enthusiastic mall crowd. ALA Trainers Edito and Edmund Villamor and U.S. Based trainer Tony Martin did the mitts session with the boxers.
Tickets were also given to the fans who answered the questions thrown at them by host John Magat of Y101 FM.
Melligen, who just arrived from Las Vegas, is scheduled to fight Bladimir ?The Blade? Hernandez of Mexico. Pagara will face Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat of Thailand while Canillas will face a fellow Filipino, former WBO Intercontinental jr.featherweight titlist Ramie Laput.
