Laurente fights Holloway in Pacquiao-Margarito undercard

Welterweight Dennis Laurente (35 W (KO 18)-3 L - 5 D) will be facing Manny Pacquiao's former sparmate Rashad Holloway (11W (5 KO's) -1L-2D) at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Philboxing learned about this development from manager and promoter Johnny Elorde during a visit to the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Para?aque City Thursday afternoon. Laurente joins two other Filipinos, Richie Mepranum and Juan Martin ?Bai? Elorde, who will be finding in the undercard of Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito this November 14 (RP Time).
Laurente also had the experience of sparring with Holloway. When asked if he can beat him or ?kaya ba??, he replied with a grin, ?Kayanin.?
Laurente is on an eleven fight winning streak dating back to 2006. This year, he beat former world title challenger Ben Tackie of Ghana by unanimous decision and knocked out two Thai fighters, Laimankon Chuwatana and Kompayak Sithsaithong. Holloway was part of Pacquiao's preparations for his mega-fight against Oscar dela Hoya in 2008.
