Indonesian Sofyan Effendi arrived in Cebu this morning ready to take on former IBF world champion Florante Condes on the undercard of this Saturday's mammoth "The Philippines vs The World" card at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
Effendi has indicated although Condes has gained notoriety in Indonesia due to his victory over then champion Muhammad Rachman, he is not going to back down from a fight with the hard-hitting Filipino.
The final presscon for the event takes place on Thursday, while the weigh-in is set on Friday open to the public at the SM Atrium starting 11AM.
The main event features the popular Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista against Mexican Alejandro Barrera, a cousin of the legendary Marco Antonio Barrera.
Also seeing action is Milan Milendo who will go up against Korean Jin Man Jeun, while Jimrex Jaca goes up against son of the legend, Pipino Cuevas Jr.
Bautista, Milendo and Jaca, in appearing at the widely-popular radio show "Pinoy Boxing" on Sunday, have announced their readiness to take on their opponents, citing their vast preparation at the ALA Gym.
First bout starts 6PM on Saturday, with the after party set at the Maya Restaurant in Crossroads.
