ALA Boxers ready for The World, stage open work out in SM Cebu City (with photos)

Rey ?BoomBoom? Bautista, Jimrex ?The Executioner? Jaca and Milan ?Milenyo? Melindo gave boxing fans a treat Sunday noon when they had an open workout to promote the PHILIPPINES VS THE WORLD fight card which will be held this August 28 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.



Jaca and Melindo started the activity doing warm ups, skipping rope then hitting the punch mitts with trainers Edmund and Edito Villamor. Bautista joined them a few minutes later as they showcased their footwork and crisp combinations.

In between the workouts, fans were given free tickets to the fight as well as tickets to the Maya Mexican Restaurant, one of the sponsors for the blockbuster boxing event. The boxers said they were ready to face their opponents when they were interviewed on stage.



Bautista said that he doesn?t care about his opponents fighting style but he has prepared well and guarantees a win, either by points or by knockout.



The three boxers also invited the fans to watch and cheer for them. ?This will not be our victory but the victory of the Filipino people.? Melindo said.

Fans got a chance to have a photo session with the three boxers after the workout.

Bautista will face Mexico?s Alejandro Barrera while Jaca will fight another Mexican, Pipino Cuevas,Jr. Melindo will face Korea?s Jin-man Jeon. Also scheduled to see action is former IBF world minimumweight champ Florante Condes who will fight Sofyan Effendi of Indonesia.
