
ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR PBF TITLE FIGHT IN MAASIN

Maasin City, Southern Leyte ? Hometown boy Adonis ?T.I. Yamagata? Aguelo (12W-3L-1D, 7 KO?s)and Victor Man-on (14W-14L-2D, 12 KO?s)of Bohol made the featherweight limit during the official weigh-in held Sunday afternoon for their 10 round Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title showdown tomorrow Aug. 16 Monday evening at the Maasin City Gym. The adversaries both weighed 125 lbs. Aguelo bears the name of the Japanese sponsored boxing gym.
Alfonso Jun Ferando of Maasin and Jonathan ?Tata? Ricablanca of Surigao both weighed 110 lbs for their 8 round undercard fight. Jimbert Lamoste of Maasin weighed 115 ? lbs while Robert Awetin of Bohol weighed 119 for their 4 round bout.
The boxers underwent the routine pre-fight physical examination and weigh-in at the venue supervised by Rolando Mendoza of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB Cebu). This event will be opened by amateur bouts featuring local standouts.
This boxing event billed as MAKALINGAWNG AWAY SA ANNIBERSARYO SA MAASIN is presented by the Maasin City local govt. and the Maasin City Sports Council headed by Mayor Maloney Samaco and promoted by Rex ?Wakee? Salud International Boxing Promotions through the efforts of matchmaker Willie Flores.
