Sabillo, Villanueva go for R.P. Titles today

Bacolod City - Merlito ?Junjun? Sabillo will perform in front of his hometown fans when he faces Jetli Purisima of General Santos City for the Philippine Minimumweight Championship tonight at the Goldenfield Casino Filipino Hotel in Bacolod City.
Sabillo, who sports the ring monicker ?The Tiger? is unbeaten and will be fighting for his first local title.

Another hometown prospect, Arthur ?El Matador? Villanueva will fight Brix ?Bomb? Ray of Davao City for the Philippine Flyweight Belt. Villanueva is also unbeaten but will be tested by Ray who has beaten Big Yoo of South Korea and rising star Marlon Tapales and lost to the likes of two time world title challenger Eriberto ?Yukka? Gejon and Wandee Singwancha of Thailand.

A special attraction in this fight card is Cabatuan, Iloilo?s native Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello. who will fight in a tune up match versus Candihay, Bohol?s Arnel Tadena. Cuello is the current WBC International Minimumweight Champion but the fight will be at 107 pounds.
Preliminary bouts start at 4 PM.
