
SANDUGO-Labanan ng mga Kampeon Weigh-in Updates

Big Yoo (16W-2L, 11KO?s) of the Big Star Boxing Gym of South Korea easily made weight during the official weigh-in held Friday noon for his 12 round WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title fight against AJ ?Bazooka? Banal of the ALA Gym.
Banal (21W-1L-1D, 17 KO?s) weighed in at 118 1/4 lbs. but easily shed the quarter of a pound excess after five minutes.
They will headline the ?SANDUGO ? Labanan ng mga Kampeon? fight card this Saturday July 17 6 P.M. at the Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Jason Pagara (18W-1L, 10 KO?s) of Cagayan de Oro weighed 139 lbs. while his opponent Korean Young Bin Kim (11W-1L, 7 KO?s) weighed in at 137 1/2 lbs. It was agreed by both parties that there will be no shedding of excess weight for their 10 round non-title contest.
The ALA Gym?s James Bacon weighed 130 lbs while Eric Macas of the Bong Yap Stable of Lanao del Norte weighed 130 ? lbs.
For the other undercard match-ups:
Ricky Sismundo of Tagbilaran City ? 133 lbs vs. Jovie Merca of Butuan City ? 133 ? lbs.
Jefferson Reodeque of Tagbilaran City ? 104 lbs. vs. Rocky Bacor of DDP Stable ? 107 ? lbs. Bacor was asked to shed his excess weight.
Jomar Cordinillo of Tagbilaran City ? 105 lbs. vs. Sherwin ?Mc Do? Longay of Lanao del Norte ? 105 lbs.
Wilbeth Loberanis of Tagbilaran City ? 112 lbs versus Jolito Catubay of Cebu City ? 114 lbs. Catubay was also required to shed off his excess pounds.
Candijay, Bohol?s Rey ?BoomBoom? Bautista will have an exhibition sparring session against Fernando Otik.
The weigh-in was held at the Activity Center of the Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City and supervised by Dr. Nasser Cruz and Rolando Mendoza of the GAB and WBO Asia-Pacific chief Leon Panoncillo. The third man in the ring for the Banal vs Yoo title fight will be renowned international referee Bruce McTavish.
