SGG?s Prospects fight in Taguig City today

Superfeatherweight Jose Ocampo of Metro Manila will be among the boxers seeing action today in Taguig City in a fight card billed as billed as ?NEW PROSPECTS III?. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani informed that Ocampo will fight Ronnel Esparas (6W-2L-1D, 1 KO) of Samar in a ten round bout.

Ocampo (11W-3L-1D, 7 KO?s) is on a nine fight winning streak. He fought twice in Cebu this year, beating Jaime Barcelona by 8 round unanimous decision and Samuel Galinato by 4th round TKO. Both were under the SGG Next Prospects fight series.

Gello-ani has big plans for Ocampo, including a possible WBO Youth title fight or a shot against Philippine superfeatherweight champ Aaron Melgarejo. He may see action also this July 31 in the undercard of Rey Labao?s WBO Asia-Pacific superfeatherweight title defense.

Other top prospects seeing action in ten round bouts will be Jason Canoy vs John Rey Loreto, Dennis Tubieron vs Noel Sungahid. There will be a total of 13 bouts. This fight card will be held at the Bagumbayan Sports Complex, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Taguig City. This is a joint promotion of Sammy Gello-ani?s SGG Sports Promotions and Sampson Lewkowicz? Sampson Boxing LLC.
