Breaking news from Mexico. Edrin Dapudong of the Philippines knocked out Jesus Jimenez of Mexico in the very first round to win the WBC Flyweight Silver Belt title.
The power punching Dapudong(18W-2L, 10 KO's)used to be one of the best kept secrets of the Braveheart Boxing Club of North Cotabato. With this win he will surely continue his climb up the world rankings and capture the attention of Pinoy fight fans.
The fight was held in Tepic, Nayarit. Jimenez drops to 28W-6L, 20 KO's. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani relayed the good news to philboxing.
