Johnriel ?Quadro Alas? Casimero (14W-0L, 8 KO?s) will leave for the U.S. next week to continue his preparations for the first defense of his WBO interim lt. flyweight crown against Mexican Ramon Garcia Hirales.

Promoter Sammy Gello-ani said that Casimero will train at L.A.?s Wild Card Gym for at least five days before going to LaPaz, Baja California. Casimero will be accompanied by trainer Christopher ?Pingping? Tepora and Danny Bactol.

Casimero is currently training at the newly opened Omega Boxing and Workout Gym located at Juan Luna Avenue (Formerly San Jose dela Monta?a St.) in Mabolo, Cebu City.

Casimero said that he is aware that Hirales is a dangerous southpaw. He has sparred with left handed fighters and even went to Rex ?Wakee? Salud?s gym in Labangon, Cebu City to spar with newly crowned Philippine jr.flyweight titlist Marlon Tapales.

Casimero is still eight pounds over the junior flyweight limit but he said shedding the excess weight will not be a problem. He will face Garcia Hirales this July 3 in Baja California, Mexico.
