WBO Distributes Bags and School Supplies to Less Privileged Students in Cebu City for its Outreach Program

The World Boxing Organization (WBO), through its Vice-President for the Asia Pacific Region Leon Panoncillo, gave out back packs filled-up with the basic school supplies and basic paraphernalia for sports activities to the youth from Barangay Mabolo in Cebu City.

The annual WBO gift giving activity is part of their WBO DRUG FREE YOUTH PROGRAM which was held Friday noon May 14 at the Mabolo ?Wilfredo Cabalse? Sports Complex. The activity commenced right after the official weigh-in of the participating boxers for the WBO IN MABOLO - The next Prospects 2 fight card which will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 also at the Mabolo Sports Complex.

The Mabolo Barangay Officials lead by Barangay Captain Rey Ompoc and Sammy Gello-ani's SGG Promotions assisted in the program. Also joining in the giving of gifts were WBO Asia-Pacific titlist Rey Labao, WBO Asia-Pacific lt.flyweight titlist Bert ?The Ninja? Batawang and WBO interim world Lt. Flyweight champ Johnriel Casimero.

The May 15 WBO in MABOLO fight card is headlined by Anthony ?Rocky? Marcial versus Dante ?Chowking? Paulino for the vacant WBO Oriental lightweight title.
