Jerson Mancio of Esperanza, Agusan Del Sur won by unanimous decision over Rocky Sardido of the Vic Adriano Stable, Davao City in the ten round main event of the Summit Fight Night held Saturday evening at the South Reclamation Project in Cebu.
The two flyweights started tentatively in the first two rounds. Mancio decided to increase his work rate and landed the cleaner punches. But Sardido continued to hang around and land a few counters. The action slowed once again in the 8th round when Mancio was hit by a low blow. A point was also deducted from Sardido in the 9th for holding on to Mancio?s neck.
The scorecards read 97-93 on all three judges for Mancio.
Jomar Cordinillo of Tagbilaran, Bohol won by 6th round TKO over Jaime Bermiso of the Jumao-as Stable of Mandaue City in a 6 round lt. flyweight fight.
A left hook to the ribs shook Bermiso in the opening round. Cordinillo continued to inflict two fisted punishment in the subsequent rounds until Bermiso chose to stay in his corner going into the final round.
The six round flyweight clash between Jerome Bontog of the Phil-Aust Gym, Mandaue City versus Melchor Abcede of Tagbilaran City, Bohol ended in a technical draw at 1: 58 of round 2 because a cut on Bontog?s left eyebrow due to an accidental headbutt prompted the ring physician to recommend a halt to the bout.
Albert Villacampa of Bantayan Island, Cebu won by unanimous decision over Florante Eyo of the Vic Adriano Stable of Davao City in a flyweight six rounder. It was a draining brawl that had both boxers gasping for air and swinging wildly during the final round. The scores read 58-56 on all three judges for Villacampa.

In the second round of a scheduled six rounder, Mandate fired a one two combination that sent Reodeque to the canvas. Reodeque stood on wobbly legs when he got up at the count of six. Sensing that his opponent was hurt, Mandate continued to hammer Reodeque.
But Mandate walked into a counter hook and was knocked down. He got up but was visibly groggy. Reodeque smelled blood and pounced on Mandate prompting the referee to stop the fight at 2: 22 of the 2nd.
Pedro Balaba of Tagbilaran City scored a knockdown in the final round and handily won over Ervin Yamo of the Phil-Aust Gym of Mandaue City in a four round flyweight bout. The scorecards read 40-35, 38-37 and 40-35.
