Sherman Oaks, CA:- Goossen Tutor Promotions today held the final press conference for the main event participants for Saturday?s fight card dubbed as ?The Weight Is Over.? The event was held at an Italian restaurant in the Sherman Oaks area of the San Fernando Valley northwest of Los Angeles called Sisley?s. While the place is tight for a presscon to announce a fight of this magnitude, the food was great.

Present to answer questions from a battery of media people were Paul ?The Punisher? Williams (38-1-1,27 KO) and his opponent, Kermit ?The Killer? Cintron. (32-1-1,28 KO) Two fast-rising Junior Middleweights, Martin Honorio and Argenis Mendez as well as promoters Dan Goossen and Lou Di Bella.

The Williams-Cintron fight will be held at the Home Depot Center at the City of Carson in southeast Los Angeles. Cerveza Corona is the main sponsor. The fight card will be televised live by HBO except in the West Coast where it will be on a delayed basis.

Quotes:

Argenis Mendez (15-1-0, 9KO) Managua, Nicaragua:- ?I am looking forward to this fight. I know he has speed but I am ready and I am going win?

Honorio Martin (28-4-1, 14KO) Mexico City, Mexico:- ?The winner be who is best. It?s going to be a tremendous fight?

Paul Williams (38-1-0, 27KO) Augusta, Georgia:- ?When we get on the ring, I am gonna hurt him as much as he would like to hurt me. It?s gonna be a war. No sympathy and mercy on the ring. I am gonna break his jaw and gonna kill him. That?s my job.?

Kermit Cintron 32-2-1, 28KO) Carolina, Puerto Rico:- ?I have done my homework at the gym and I am ready to go. It?s gonna be a hell of a fight.?

Lou Di Bella: (in reference to the immigration issues in Arizona) ?I ask my friends to stay away from Arizona until they fix it.?

Lou Di Bella: (in reference to the fight) ?Cintron and Williams are both warriors and we will see a great fight. They will be throwing caution to the wind and fight.?

Lou Di Bella: (in reference to the height difference between Williams and Cintron) ?Williams will be one hell of a mountain for Cintron to climb.?

Kerry Davis (HBO): Williams travels three different weight classes, 147, 154, and 160. He is a unique and an interesting fighter and also a terrific puncher. We expect a real compelling fight on Saturday- the best fighting the best.?

Dan Goossen: (after introducing Kerry Williams) Come on you guys, Paul Williams and Kerry Davis are here and you give a bigger applause for the Corona ring girls??

Dan Goossen: (On why the fight was called ?The Weight is Over?) Williams can fight at 147, 154 and 160. This fight opens up an opportunity to fight above 147 and since many from the 147 division are not keen in fight Paul, we decided to move up. Thus, the ?Weight is Over?.

George Peterson (Williams? trainer) ?Williams is not gonna run. It gonna be a great fight and we gonna win this one.?

George Peterson: ?We gonna see some blood unlike those fights in the past week where there was not even a nose bleed (an obvious dig on the Mosley-Mayweather fight).
