Diaz vs Marquez II Set for July 31st

Golden Boy promotions this morning officially announced the re-match between Juan ?Baby Bull? Diaz and Juan Manuel ?Dinamita? Marquez.

The fight will be for the ?Unified Lightweight Titles. HBO will televise the fight from the Events Center of the Mandalay Bay Casino Resort.

Marquez (50-5-1, 37KO) has won title in the 126, 130, and 135 lbs divisions for his 17 year career and may be headed soon to the Hall of Fame. He is best remembered by Filipinos for his two fights with Manny Pacquiao. He lost one and the other ended in a draw.

Diaz (35-3-0, 17KO) held the WBC lightweight titles from 2004 to 2007. He recently completed his studies for a degree in political science at the University of Houston and will soon be applying for law school.
